Baghdad: Ammar al-Hakim, head of the National State Forces Alliance, received Dr. Recep Sayar, head of the Turkish Migration and Communities Foundation, accompanied by the foundation’s research team. The meeting focused on the conditions of migrants and communities, along with the challenges and problems they face.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions included exploring ways to coordinate and cooperate between Iraq and Turkey to develop comprehensive policies addressing the living and humanitarian conditions of migrants. The dialogue also covered Iraqi-Turkish relations, emphasizing the significance of enhancing cooperation.
Al-Hakim underscored the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between Iraq and Turkey. He highlighted the historical ties and commonalities that unite the two peoples and neighboring countries, suggesting that these connections could be the foundation for improved cooperation.
