Baghdad: The head of the State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, reiterated the importance of achieving stability in the region, holding everyone responsible for this, including major and influential countries. During his meeting with the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan, on Sunday in Baghdad, al-Hakim emphasized, “Stability is in everyone’s interest and enables the peoples of the region to invest in their potential and resources.” He urged Turkey to increase water releases to Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Hakim highlighted Iraq’s ongoing water crisis, which has impacted various aspects of life, and expressed his support for projects aimed at optimal water management. He also underscored the significance of involving Turkish companies in water management and modern irrigation techniques.

Al-Hakim further emphasized the need for cooperation in the energy sector and the successful implementation of the Development Road project. He pointed out that achieving security is essential for the success of such collaborations. Additionally, al-Hakim noted the upcoming elections as a crucial factor in enhancing and achieving sustainable stability in the region.
