Cairo: The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, confirmed today his support for Egypt’s efforts to prevent the displacement of the Palestinian people. Al-Hakim met with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, at the beginning of his visit to Egypt, to express deep appreciation for Egypt’s steadfast position in supporting the Palestinian cause. He emphasized Iraq’s backing for Egypt’s leadership and people in maintaining the essence of the Palestinian cause by adhering to Palestinian national soil.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, Al-Hakim also discussed the development of relations between Iraq and Egypt and explored ways to enhance their ties. He expressed satisfaction with the ongoing development in relations, particularly in cooperation on reconstruction projects. He praised the efforts of the Iraqi government in overcoming obstacles to facilitate the work of Egyptian companies involved in developing Iraq’s infrastructure.

Al-Hakim highlighted Iraq’s commitment to regional stability and the importance of bridging differences between parties to promote security and prosperity. He emphasized Iraq’s dedication to the unity and integrity of Syrian territory, ensuring that the Syrian people have the freedom to determine their future. He also underscored the importance of supporting Lebanese state institutions and keeping Lebanon free from conflicts and political disputes.

Furthermore, Al-Hakim expressed Iraq’s interest in the success of the upcoming Arab summit in Baghdad. He stressed the necessity of strengthening joint Arab cooperation and finding a model for Arab economic and political integration. This endeavor aims to secure the position of Arab countries amidst rapid international changes, leveraging the region’s rich human and natural resources and strategic location to manage challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
