Baghdad: The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, has welcomed the decision to cease fire in the Gaza Strip and called for measures to ensure the Israeli entity compensates affected civilians.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Hakim made a statement expressing his approval of the ceasefire decision and the cessation of what he described as genocide operations by the Israeli occupation entity in Gaza. He commended the regional and international efforts that led to this decision and urged mediating parties and the United Nations to ensure the Israeli entity adheres to the ceasefire.
Al-Hakim emphasized the importance of applying international laws to maintain their legitimacy and procedural integrity. He called for immediate international actions to support the ceasefire, including the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza, efforts to rebuild the region, and the return of displaced individuals. Additionally, he stressed the need for the Israeli entity to compensate those affected by the conflict.
