Accra:Speaker of the House of Representatives, Heibat al-Halbousi, expressed Iraq’s support for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and its dedication to unifying positions during a meeting on Sunday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Halbousi met with Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, the Secretary-General of the OIC. The meeting included discussions on the programs implemented by the organization to enhance cooperation among its member states.

Al-Halbousi highlighted the importance of the OIC’s role in fostering Islamic solidarity, developing joint action mechanisms, and unifying the positions of Islamic nations. He reiterated Iraq’s commitment to supporting the OIC and intensifying coordination to address ongoing crises.
