Riyadh: Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia defeated their Qatari guests, Al-Gharafa, 2-1 in the first round of the West Zone group stage of the AFC Champions League.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Ruben Neves opened the scoring for Al-Hilal in the 45+3 minute from a penalty kick, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic added the second goal for the home side in the 73rd minute. In the 92nd minute, Hassan Alaaeldin scored a consolation goal for Al-Gharafa.
