Al-Khattabi and Al-Eidani Announce Success of Arbaeen Pilgrimage Plan

Karbala: The Governor of Karbala, Nassif al-Khattabi, and the Governor of Basra, Asaad al-Eidani, have declared the success of this year's Arbaeen pilgrimage plan following a joint meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi. The discussions centered on the effectiveness of the measures implemented to facilitate the pilgrimage and ensure its smooth execution.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the officials confirmed that the plan established for receiving pilgrims and managing their movement was successful. They highlighted the importance of the collaboration between Iraqi and Iranian authorities, which played a crucial role in organizing the pilgrimage effectively.

The meeting also acknowledged the significant contribution of the Basra Governorate in the overall success of the Arbaeen pilgrimage, along with the efforts of other Iraqi governorates. The support from the Islamic Republic of Iran was also recognized as a vital element in creating a conducive environment for the pilgrims and ensuring the seamless conduct of the Arbaeen ceremonies.
