Al-Mandalawi and Al-Shukri Stress Need for Continued Dialogue to Enhance National Understandings

Baghdad: First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, and Head of the Advisory Board at the Presidency of the Republic, Ali Al-Shukri, have highlighted the importance of maintaining dialogue among political forces to bolster national understandings and ensure political stability.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Mandalawi's media office issued a statement indicating that Al-Mandalawi hosted Al-Shukri at his residence on Saturday. The two leaders focused on the latest political developments following the elections and discussed strategies for fulfilling constitutional obligations within the set timelines.

The statement further mentioned that both Al-Mandalawi and Al-Shukri stressed the necessity of ongoing political dialogue. This dialogue aims to facilitate the timely convening of the new parliament in its sixth session, in line with constitutional requirements, as well as to advance the formation of a robust government. Such a government would aim to meet the aspirations of the Iraqi populace, support the reform agenda, and foster political stability.
