Al-Mandalawi Votes in Parliamentary Elections, Stresses Importance of Voter Participation in Shaping Iraq’s Future


Baghdad: First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen al-Mandalawi, cast his vote today at Hammurabi School on Palestine Street in Baghdad during the 2025 parliamentary elections. He underscored that this moment signifies a significant national responsibility and offers a genuine opportunity to elect representatives who can establish a just and strong state that aligns with the aspirations of the Iraqi people.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Mandalawi highlighted that widespread participation in this “electoral celebration” is the most effective method to uphold the principle of peaceful power transition and to bolster democracy. He urged citizens to head to the polls in large numbers to select the most competent candidates, those with realistic programs and the capability to shoulder responsibility and serve the populace.



Al-Mandalawi further elaborated that the voter’s voice is the foundational element upon which the legitimacy of institutions is constructed. He emphasized that Iraq currently requires conscious and responsible participation to create a parliament that truly represents the people’s will. This parliament should aim to reform, enhance services, provide job opportunities, consolidate stability, and decisively build Iraq’s future.
