Al-Mandlawi Affirms Commitment to Palestinian Cause at Beirut Assembly


Beirut: First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandlawi affirmed that the Palestinian cause will remain an issue that cannot be abandoned. His statement came during the closing remarks at the Constituent Assembly held in Beirut, attended by heads and members of parliamentary delegations and the International Confederation of Asian and African Trade Unions.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Mandlawi highlighted the significance of the meeting, which culminated in the creation of the Asian-African Parliament. This new organization aims to serve as a unifying body for the parliaments of Asia and Africa, fostering cooperation and coordination for the benefit of their peoples and nations. Al-Mandlawi expressed his unwavering dedication to the Parliament’s goals, focusing on developing its influence in Asian-African parliamentary efforts and ensuring its active role on both regional and international stages.



In his address, Al-Mandlawi reiterated the enduring importance of the Palestinian cause, underscoring that the formation of the Council was driven by the participants’ shared responsibility and aspirations for unity and justice. He emphasized that this historic moment would lay the foundation for a lasting and robust parliamentary partnership.
