Al-Mandlawi and US Embassy Official Discuss Regional Stability and Cooperation


Baghdad: The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandlawi, held discussions with Michelle Siders, the Director of the Political Section at the US Embassy in Iraq, focusing on regional developments and enhancing cooperation on issues of mutual interest between Iraq and the United States.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral relations to achieve common goals. Discussions centered on ensuring security and political stability in the region and the necessity of building investment and economic partnerships that benefit both nations.



Al-Mandlawi underscored the need for international intervention to halt Zionist attacks on Gaza and violations in Lebanon. He called for urgent measures to end genocide and ongoing conflicts worldwide, emphasizing the importance of allowing humanitarian aid into affected areas. He reaffirmed Iraq’s position on preventing conflicts, establishing regional stability, and advancing reconstruction efforts. Strengthening foreign relations based on mutual respect was also highlighted as a priority in these discussions.
