Al-Mashhadani Advocates for Qatari Investment in Iraq’s Market

Baghdad: Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, emphasized the significance of Qatari companies entering the Iraqi market. He affirmed the parliament's support for initiatives aimed at revitalizing the private sector and creating job opportunities for the youth.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Mashhadani discussed with the Qatari Ambassador to Baghdad, Sultan Al-Kubaisi, strategies to enhance bilateral relations between Iraq and Qatar, especially in the economic and commercial sectors. He underscored the strong fraternal ties between the two nations and the necessity of further developing these relations for the benefit of both peoples.

The statement from Al-Mashhadani's office noted his invitation to Qatari companies to invest in the opportunities present in the Iraqi market. He reaffirmed the parliament's readiness to offer the required support to expand cooperation in economy, investment, and the exchange of expertise.

Ambassador Al-Kubaisi, in turn, expressed Qatar's genuine interest in strengthening cooperation with Iraq. He emphasized the country's commitment to actively engaging in Iraq's promising market in coordination with the Iraqi government, aiming for a fruitful partnership and promoting economic integration between the two countries.

Both parties reiterated their intent to maintain communication and coordination to serve mutual interests and reinforce the path of fraternal cooperation between Baghdad and Doha.
