Doha: Parliament Speaker Mahmoud al-Mashhadani discussed with Hassan bin Abdullah al-Ghanim, Speaker of the Qatari Shura Council, prospects for constructive cooperation between the two countries and unifying discourse in international forums.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Parliament stated that Al-Mashhadani concluded his visit to Qatar on Wednesday, meeting with Hassan bin Abdullah al-Ghanim, Speaker of the Qatari Shura Council, accompanied by MP Ziyad al-Janabi, Chairman of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee.

During the meeting, the results of al-Mashhadani’s visit and prospects for constructive cooperation between the two countries and unifying discourse in international forums were discussed to serve Arab and Islamic nations, with particular attention to the Palestinian cause.

Parliament Speaker Mahmoud al-Mashhadani praised the role of the Qatari Shura Council, acknowledging the wisdom of its Speaker in serving the country, and its legislative support for Qatar’s development, expressing gratitude for the hospitality and welcome extended.

The meeting took place in al-Ghanim’s private room and was attended by several members of the Qatari Shura Council.
