Al-Minaa Coach Emphasizes Critical Match Against Duhok

Basra: Al-Minaa coach Hussein Abdul Wahid has underlined the significance of the upcoming match against Duhok, emphasizing the necessity of securing three points to advance in the league standings. Wahid acknowledged the strong capabilities of the Duhok team and expressed his determination to overcome them in this crucial encounter.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during a pre-match press conference held ahead of the game scheduled for tomorrow evening in Basra, Abdul Wahid stated, “Our performance in previous matches has been good, and we have developed a plan tailored to the circumstances of this game. We hope our fans will trust and support us tomorrow, and we will fight to secure the three points.” He expressed his desire for fair officiating, as past matches have been affected by refereeing errors, which he hopes will not be repeated.

Al-Minaa captain Saad Natiq also highlighted the importance of the match, reflecting on past mistakes that cost them dearly. “The mistakes we made in the Al-Kahraba match cost us the loss in the final minutes. Had we secured the victory, we would be in third place now,” Natiq commented. He stressed the importance of learning from these errors and focusing on the upcoming challenge against Duhok.

Natiq reiterated the critical nature of the upcoming match, particularly as it precedes an international break. He called on fans for their unwavering support, as Al-Minaa aims to improve their standing from their current 10 points in the Iraqi Stars League.
