Baquba: More than 20,000 visitors were transported through the Al-Mundhiriya border crossing. A government source announced the start of the return phase for pilgrims through a border crossing northeast of Baquba, the capital of Diyala Governorate, noting that more than 20,000 Iranian pilgrims had crossed in the past few hours.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Al-Mundhiriya border crossing northeast of Baquba has entered the return phase for pilgrims after the completion of the Arba'een pilgrimage, with more than 20,000 pilgrims of various Islamic nationalities having crossed.
The source added that expectations indicate the total number of pilgrims who will complete the return through the Al-Mundhiriya crossing could reach more than 600,000. He indicated that the coming hours will witness an increase in the return of pilgrims.
