Baghdad: Spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Sabah al-Numan, has strongly criticized the Ministry of Interior in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) for its recent accusation against an official Iraqi security institution. Al-Numan stated that such accusations are unacceptable, condemned, and impermissible under any circumstances.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Numan emphasized in his statement that the accusation was made without any supporting evidence. He demanded that if any evidence exists, it should be presented to the appropriate governmental bodies. Al-Numan reiterated the federal government’s commitment to the security and unity of Iraq, affirming that it will not hesitate to take legal action against any entities attempting to disrupt stability or security within the country.
Al-Numan further called for cooperation and coordination among Iraqi institutions through official channels. He warned against using media platforms for statements and reports that could undermine the credibility of Iraqi security institutions, providing hostile parties with justifications to destabilize Iraq.
