Baghdad: The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, condemned the Zionist terrorist attacks on Syria. Al-Sadr expressed his concerns via a post on the /X/ platform, highlighting the ongoing colonial movements and terrorist actions targeting the Syrian Republic.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sadr called on Arab governments and specifically the Syrian government, including President Bashar al-Assad, to take a firm stand against the Israeli bombings. He urged these governments to avoid making sectarian statements and to actively oppose the Israeli actions and colonial interests in Syrian territory.

Al-Sadr further emphasized the importance of unity among Islamic nations, suggesting that moving away from sectarian rhetoric could bolster the Islamic and Arab stance against Zionist-American aggressions in regions such as Syria, Lebanon, and Gaza. He reaffirmed his support for the peoples over dictatorships, international terrorism, and sectarianism, encouraging a return to the values of the authentic Muhammadan approach. Al-Sadr expressed hope for continued solidarity between the Syrian and Iraqi peoples under the banner of resistance inspired by Ahl al-Bayt and the noble companions.
