Baghdad: The Head of the Azm Alliance, Muthanna al-Samarrai, engaged in discussions on Tuesday with the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan, focusing on the bilateral relations between Iraq and Turkey and exploring avenues for enhancing joint cooperation across political, economic, and cultural domains.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, al-Samarrai highlighted the significance of the historical ties between the two nations. He underscored the necessity of bolstering communication channels to serve mutual interests, uphold regional stability, respect national sovereignty, and broaden areas for constructive collaboration.

The Turkish Ambassador, Anil Bora Inan, conveyed his country’s commitment “to support Iraq on various issues of common interest” and expressed optimism for fostering relations grounded in partnership and mutual understanding, as per the statement from al-Samarrai’s office.
