Al-Sudani and Lebanese President Urge Global Intervention to Halt War and Its Consequences


Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun have emphasized the critical need for the international community to fulfill its responsibilities in halting the ongoing war and preventing its potentially dangerous repercussions.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s Media Office issued a press release revealing that Al-Sudani received a phone call from President Aoun. During the conversation, the leaders discussed recent developments in the region, focusing on enhancing Arab coordination and advocating for dialogue as a means to protect the region’s populations from escalating dangers.



Al-Sudani expressed strong condemnation of the repeated Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory, asserting that these ongoing violations pose a severe threat to regional stability and blatantly infringe upon international laws and conventions.



Both leaders reiterated the urgent call for the international community to take action to cease the war and mitigate its dangerous consequences, highlighting the threats posed to both regional and international peace and security.
