Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani has issued a diwani order appointing Adnan Hamoud, the Director of the Northern Refineries Company, to the position of Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for Refinery Affairs.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, this appointment is part of Al-Sudani's ongoing efforts to enhance the operational efficiency and leadership within the Ministry of Oil. Hamoud's new role will involve overseeing refinery affairs across Iraq, a critical aspect of the country's oil industry.

The Northern Refineries Company, under Hamoud's leadership, has been a significant player in Iraq's oil sector. His transition to the Ministry of Oil is expected to strengthen the coordination between the ministry and the country's refining operations.
