Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani affirmed the government's continued implementation of reforms in the health sector and the provision of medical and treatment services to citizens.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sudani made this announcement during a signing ceremony for the construction of a medical city in Dhi Qar Governorate. The project will be executed in collaboration with the Chinese State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC). The Prime Minister praised the efforts of the Dhi Qar Reconstruction Fund, the Ministry of Health, and other supporting agencies, which facilitated the signing of the contract valued at 490 billion dinars. The implementation of this significant project is set to begin soon.
Al-Sudani emphasized the importance of the project for the people of Dhi Qar Governorate, suggesting that it will offer economic benefits and reduce the need for citizens to seek medical treatment elsewhere. He reiterated that the development of the medical city and the broader medical sector remain top priorities for the government.
