Erbil: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has underscored the significance of national partnership as a means to address the country’s challenges and entitlements. A statement from his media office highlighted this during a meeting with Masoud Barzani, leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, at Salah al-Din resort in Erbil Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on assessing the national situation and issues, aligning with the government’s commitment to foster national partnership and maintain communication with political forces. The discussions also explored strategies to bolster Iraq’s capacity to confront internal and external challenges, and emphasized cooperation between the federal and regional governments on national matters.

The statement further noted that al-Sudani advocated for dialogue among regional political forces, urging them to expedite the government formation process following the recent Kurdistan Regional Parliament elections. Meanwhile, Masoud Barzani commended the federal government’s balanced approach to regional developments, its dedication to Iraq’s interests, and its efforts in engaging with national political forces on various issues.
