Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani held discussions with Mohammed al-Hassan, the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General in Iraq, to deliberate on the procedures for ending the work of the international mission in the country.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister emphasized the necessity for cooperation and coordination among the region’s countries to achieve mutual security. He reiterated Iraq’s support for the ongoing dialogue between the United States and Iran, highlighting the importance of diplomatic efforts in stabilizing the region.
Al-Hassan, representing the United Nations, expressed the organization’s readiness to back Iraq’s vision in addressing the regional challenges. The discussions underscore the commitment of both parties to work towards a secure and stable environment in Iraq and its neighboring territories.
