Baiji: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani inaugurated the Baiji oil refinery, a significant project under the Ministry of Oil, with an impressive capacity of 250,000 tons per year. Alongside the refinery, a 50-megawatt self-generating power plant for the northern refinery was also inaugurated.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Baiji oil refinery project marks a substantial development in Iraq’s oil infrastructure, aiming to enhance the country’s refining capacity. The addition of the 50-megawatt power plant is expected to ensure reliable energy supply for the operations at the northern refinery, bolstering the overall efficiency of the facility.
