Babylon: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani inaugurated the Union Company’s mills for producing zero-grain flour in the Madhatiyah district of Babylon Governorate this morning, Saturday. The facility boasts a capacity of one million tons annually, marking a significant development in the region’s agricultural industry.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the inauguration comes 11 months after the foundation stone for the project was laid. The new mills are expected to play a crucial role in the local economy by enhancing grain processing capabilities and supporting food production.

The project underscores the government’s commitment to boosting agricultural infrastructure and ensuring food security in the country. The Union Company’s initiative is anticipated to create numerous job opportunities and contribute to the sustainable development of the Babylon Governorate.
