Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani offered his condolences to the scientific and academic community on the passing of Dr. Sahib Jaafar Abu Janah, Professor of Linguistic Studies at Al-Mustansiriya University and former member of the Iraqi Academy of Sciences.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani remarked on the profound impact Dr. Abu Janah had on Iraqi and Arab academic and intellectual studies. The Prime Minister highlighted the deceased’s contributions through his research and writings across various linguistic fields. Al-Sudani expressed his hope for God to have mercy on Dr. Abu Janah and to provide strength and comfort to his family and loved ones during this time.
