Al-Sudani Prepares for Official Visit to United Kingdom with British Ambassador


BAGHDAD: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani held discussions with Stephen Hitchcock, the British Ambassador to Iraq, regarding his forthcoming visit to the United Kingdom. The meeting, which took place on Monday, focused on the logistical and diplomatic preparations for the official visit, underscoring the intent to bolster bilateral ties between Iraq and Britain.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the dialogue between Al-Sudani and Ambassador Hitchcock aimed at setting the stage for productive meetings during the Prime Minister’s visit. The discussions emphasized enhancing cooperation across various fields to ensure mutual benefits for both nations. As part of the agenda, Al-Sudani is expected to engage in talks that could pave the way for strengthened relations in economic, cultural, and security sectors.



The conversation also addressed current regional developments and explored strategies to support regional and international initiatives for restoring stability and maintaining security. Both parties expressed a shared commitment to working collaboratively to address challenges and foster peace in the region.
