Baghdad: Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani affirmed that “the government continues to pay attention to the health sector.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the launch of the implementation works for projects to build three hospitals in Baghdad, Maysan, and Najaf, al-Sudani said: “The infrastructure has received a large portion of the government’s attention, particularly in terms of rehabilitating health centers.”

He added: “The projects to build these hospitals are part of the Chinese agreement that includes the construction of 16 hospitals in Baghdad and the governorates.” He noted that “the Ministry of Health took sufficient time to select the companies implementing the projects according to many criteria.”

He explained: “The hospitals in the districts and sub-districts of the governorates alleviate the suffering of citizens in reaching city centers.”
