Al-Sudani’s NATO Invitation Highlights Iraq’s Strategic Role


Baghdad: The Secretary-General of Ajiyal (Generations) Gathering, MP Mohammed Saadoun Al-Sayhoud, affirmed that the invitation extended to Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani to attend the NATO meeting in Brussels reflects Iraq’s distinguished position and its pivotal role in the region.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sayhoud stated in a press release that Al-Sudani’s participation in the NATO Council serves as clear evidence of Iraq’s restored strategic role as an influential player in addressing regional and international issues. He emphasized Iraq’s contribution to strengthening national unity and peaceful coexistence, which has, in turn, enhanced the country’s security and stability.



Al-Sayhoud further noted the significance of Iraq’s presence in regional and international conferences and forums, highlighting how it helps reinforce public confidence in the government and its programs. He affirmed Iraq’s efforts to consolidate its active role and safeguard its national and historical achievements, ensuring stability while distancing the country from internal and external conflicts.
