Baghdad:Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi and US President Donald Trump emphasized the need for coordination and consultation between their countries to address current challenges and support regional stability.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office detailed a telephone conversation held on Thursday between Al-Zaidi and Trump. During the call, they discussed regional security developments and future prospects, underscoring the importance of dialogue and diplomacy to manage crises and prevent conflict escalation.

The Prime Minister highlighted Iraq’s commitment to respecting national sovereignty, avoiding the use of its territory for attacks on neighboring nations, and favoring peaceful solutions and constructive dialogue to maintain regional security and stability. Both leaders stressed the continuation of communication and coordinated efforts on mutual concerns to strengthen bilateral relations and advance shared interests.
