Amman:Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zaidi has emphasized the necessity of strengthening regional and international cooperation and coordination to address the suffering of the Palestinian people.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from Al-Zaidi’s media office noted that he met with the President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, in the Jordanian capital, Amman, on Monday.

During the meeting, Al-Zaidi and Abbas discussed bilateral relations and developments in the Palestinian territories. Al-Zaidi reiterated Iraq’s steadfast position on the Palestinian cause, underscoring the importance of international efforts to ensure the Palestinian people regain their full rights on their historical land.

President Mahmoud Abbas expressed appreciation for the meeting and commended Iraq’s significant efforts to support the Palestinian cause and protect the rights of the Palestinian people.
