America Calls for Deployment of 15,000 Troops to Secure Iran’s Enriched Uranium

Baghdad: US Senator Mark Warner, vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, stated on Sunday that securing Iran’s enriched uranium would necessitate deploying 15,000 troops on the ground.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Warner emphasized that “nobody wants to do that,” highlighting the reluctance to engage in such a military commitment. The senator also noted that US President Donald Trump has not provided Congress with any updates concerning the plans to secure Iran’s enriched uranium.

Despite the destruction or severe damage to a substantial portion of Iran’s uranium enrichment infrastructure during the bombing by Israel and the United States in June 2015, it is believed that a significant quantity of Tehran’s highly enriched uranium remained unaffected by these attacks.
