Kut Wasit Police Command revealed the arrest of an accused person of drug trafficking and use in security practices carried out in separate areas of the governorate.

A security source in Wasit Police told the Iraqi National Agency / NINA / that “the anti-narcotics directorate’s detachments were able, through a security exercise within the sector of responsibility, in conjunction with the intelligence and security detachments, to arrest a wanted man in accordance with the provisions of Article 28 of drugs. Adding that the necessary legal measures were taken against the accused and referred to the judiciary.
