Anbar: The Directorate of Intelligence and Security announced on Saturday the discovery of an ammunition cache in Anbar province left behind by ISIS terrorists. In a statement, the Directorate said, “Based on precise intelligence and field surveillance, detachments from the Anbar Field Intelligence and Security Directorate, affiliated with the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security, discovered an ammunition cache in the Al-Ma’moura area of Hit district.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation was carried out in cooperation with the Hit Police Station. The cache contained 50 improvised explosive devices (IEDs), in addition to light weapons and ammunition used by ISIS terrorist gangs against unarmed civilians and security forces.

The statement continued to explain that the remnants were dealt with on-site by specialized technical teams, ensuring the area was secured without any casualties. This successful operation underscores the ongoing efforts by the security forces to dismantle the remnants of ISIS and ensure the safety of the local population in Anbar province.
