Ankara: The Turkish capital is set to host a tripartite meeting tomorrow with the foreign ministers of Turkey, Jordan, and Syria, chaired by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Turkish Foreign Ministry sources have confirmed that Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, and Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan Sheibani are scheduled to participate in the meeting. The discussions will focus on regional developments and the security situation. The Turkish minister will reaffirm Turkey’s continued support for the Syrian government’s efforts to enhance security and stability, along with a call to halt Israel’s policies toward Syria and other regional countries.

The meeting is expected to underline the importance of regional cooperation in addressing common challenges, particularly the fight against terrorism. Turkey’s stance against the presence of any terrorist organization in the region’s future will be a focal point of the discussions.

The discussions will also stress the necessity of cooperation between neighboring countries to tackle regional challenges, emphasizing “regional solutions to regional problems.” The importance of counter-terrorism collaboration between Syria and neighboring countries will be highlighted as a means to bolster regional and international security.

Fidan is also set to engage in bilateral talks with his Jordanian and Syrian counterparts on the sidelines of the meeting to discuss issues of common interest.
