Cairo: The General Secretariat of the Arab League affirmed that the statements made by “Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu” constitute a violation of the sovereignty of Arab countries and an attempt to undermine security and stability in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the League stressed that these statements represent a serious threat to collective Arab national security and a blatant challenge to international law and the principles of international legitimacy. They also “reflect expansionist and aggressive intentions that cannot be accepted or tolerated, and reveal an extremist mentality steeped in colonial delusions.”

The General Secretariat called on the international community, represented by the UN Security Council, to assume its responsibility and forcefully confront these extremist statements, which destabilize and increase the level of regional hatred and rejection of the occupying state.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview with i24 that he
feels he is on a “historical and spiritual mission” and that he is “strongly connected to the vision of Greater Israel.”

According to Israeli claims, Greater Israel includes areas including the occupied Palestinian territories and parts of Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Egypt.
