Baghdad: The Iraqi Media and Communications Commission participated today in the 23rd meeting of the Arab Committee for Electronic Media in Cairo, Egypt, representing Iraq with a delegation of its officials.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Iraqi delegation included the Director of the Media Regulation Department, Jader Al-Jader, and the Director of the Government Media and Communication Office, Fadel Al-Doukhi. The meeting, held by the General Secretariat on July 21, 2026, addressed several issues, most notably the implementation of recommendations from the Committee's previous session. Discussions also focused on preparing a unified Arab model law for regulating digital media and establishing a legal framework for the work of influencers and content creators.

Participants further explored topics related to cybersecurity and the protection of Arab websites and platforms from hacking. Additionally, they discussed an advanced training program entitled "Media Engineering in the Age of Artificial Intelligence," which will be hosted by the United Arab Emirates.
