Arab Radio and Television Festival Set to Begin in Tunisia


Tunis: The Arab Radio and Television Festival will kick off on September 21st in Tunisia. The 26th edition of the festival, organized by the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU), will be held from September 21 to 24 under the theme “The Pulse of the Image and the Echo of the Future.”



According to National Iraqi News Agency, this year’s festival will include a diverse range of competitions, with 161 entries in the radio category, 149 in television, and 10 in artificial intelligence. ASBU has announced that the festival’s events will take place in Tunis and Hammamet, with the opening ceremony set to honor several Arab television, radio, and film stars and media professionals.



A technology and equipment exhibition will be hosted in Hammamet, highlighting innovations and developments in the media and communication sector. Additionally, a program production market will be available, offering a platform for producers and professionals to exchange programs and projects.



The festival program will feature three seminars addressing key topics: “Podcasts: Content Trends and the Power of Influence,” “The Audience and Content Creation: From Reception to Partnership,” and “Tourism Media: From Event Reporter to Destination Creator.” These seminars will include contributions from Arab and international experts. The festival will conclude with an evening of artistic performances, during which winners of the main and parallel radio and television competitions, as well as the new media competition, will be announced.
