Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed the existence of intelligence indicating that US officials are manipulating energy markets for personal gain, and that the American consumer is the one paying the price for these crises.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a post on the “X” platform, Araqchi asserted, based on intelligence information and assessments, that there are persistent American efforts to manipulate energy markets and control their trends. Araqchi explained that some elements within the US government are exploiting what he described as “naive” media outlets to influence prices and reap personal benefits, in an attempt to keep US President Donald Trump trapped in a losing war.

He concluded by emphasizing that the American consumer is the primary victim who ultimately bears the costs and repercussions of this situation.
