Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi asserted that the attack on an Iranian merchant vessel will be met with a response. Araqchi conveyed this stance following an incident involving an Iranian commercial ship, which resulted in the fatality of one sailor.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Araqchi expressed his outrage over the incident in a tweet on XN Zelensky’s account, denouncing it as a “flagrant violation of the UN Charter.” He attributed the attack to Israeli actions, suggesting it was an effort to provoke European involvement in a broader conflict.

Araqchi emphasized his concerns during conversations with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, as well as Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
