Karbala: The committee for the millions of pilgrims in Nina has announced that the upcoming Arbaeen pilgrimage will experience a significant improvement in security performance and smoother movement of pilgrims.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Supreme Committee for Million-Person Visits has outlined its preparations to secure the Arbaeen pilgrimage to Imam Hussein in Karbala. Lieutenant General Saad Maan, head of the media committee from the Supreme Committee for Million-Person Pilgrimages, stated that this year’s Arbaeen pilgrimage will witness a qualitative leap in intelligence work and security performance. This follows the success of the Ashura pilgrimage, which was noted for its seamless operations without any incidents.

Maan highlighted that the foundation for this successful management was established during a meeting involving the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces with the Supreme Committee in Karbala during the Ashura commemorations. The recommendations focused on presenting the Arbaeen pilgrimage in a model manner of security and service. Emphasis was placed on rejecting violent rhetoric, promoting peace, and ensuring smooth traffic flow for pilgrims. The efforts aim to serve both Arab and foreign pilgrims, showcasing the message of the Husseini revolution globally.

Regarding the armed forces’ role, Maan explained that this year will see a more effective security presence along the Arbaeen pilgrimage route. This improvement is attributed to enhanced intelligence efforts and reduced visible armed presence. High-level coordination is ongoing among all relevant agencies and ministries under the supervision of the Commander-in-Chief to ensure the success and security of the pilgrimage to Imam Hussein.
