Kirkuk: A security source announced the arrest of 16 drug dealers throughout Kirkuk.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the detachments of the Kirkuk Drug Affairs Directorate, in cooperation with the tactical unit affiliated with the Kirkuk Police Command, over three consecutive days, and based on judicial decisions and proactive information, set up ambushes for drug dealers in various areas of Kirkuk city.

These operations resulted in clashes with a group of dealers using weapons and chases. Sixteen suspects were arrested, three pistols were seized, a quantity of crystal narcotic substance, quantities of narcotic pills and psychotropic substances estimated at about 4,000 pills, drug paraphernalia, and three wheels.

The source confirmed that the accused were referred to the judiciary to receive their just punishment.
