Baghdad:Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Farhad Amin Atroshi, has lauded the European Union and its member states for their crucial support in helping Iraq tackle terrorism and security challenges.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Atroshi participated in a ceremony organized by the European Union Delegation to Iraq in celebration of “Europe Day.” The event was held at Celebration Square in Baghdad, following an official invitation from EU Ambassador Clemens Semtner. It was attended by Iraq’s Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, along with numerous ambassadors, representatives of diplomatic missions, and a variety of political and international dignitaries.

During the event, Atroshi highlighted the importance of the EU’s substantial assistance to Iraq and stressed the need for ongoing coordination and cooperation. He also advocated for the further development of bilateral relations between Iraq and its international partners, emphasizing the importance of maintaining efforts to achieve regional stability through diplomacy and peaceful means.
