Baghdad: On International Youth Day, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Farhad Amin Atroushi reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Iraqi youth and highlighted the necessity of addressing issues that affect them. He emphasized the importance of implementing work and training programs that enable young Iraqis to engage in decision-making processes and policy development that shape their current and future professional lives.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Atroushi urged state institutions, civil society organizations, and the private sector to initiate service projects and economic initiatives aimed at creating job opportunities for the youth. He stressed the significance of harnessing their energies and potential for future-building and contributing to sustainable development.

International Youth Day, celebrated globally on August 12th each year, was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1999. This day aims to focus on youth issues and recognize their vital role as active partners in sustainable development and the future-building process.
