Diyala: A joint security force thwarted an attempt to smuggle various types of unlicensed medications, which were hidden inside a disabled vehicle loaded onto a crane in an attempt to disguise the incident and avoid suspicion.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a security source reported that after receiving information about a traffic accident on the main road near Al-Shumoukh village on the outskirts of Jalawla, a joint security force proceeded to the scene. Upon inspection, it was discovered that quantities of various types of unlicensed medications were being transported on a crane truck to make it appear as if it were a traffic accident.

The source further revealed that the medications and the vehicle were seized, and legal measures were taken against the driver.
