Babil Provincial Council Denies Receiving Arrest Warrant for Muhannad Al-Anzi

Babil: The Babil Provincial Council announced that it has not received any arrest warrant against council member Muhannad al-Anzi. This statement comes after a complaint was lodged by Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi, concerning comments made by al-Anzi regarding al-Zaidi’s position on the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) and his call for their disarmament.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Babil Council Chairman Asaad al-Muslawi clarified that the council’s legal department should have been informed if an arrest warrant had been issued against al-Anzi. Al-Muslawi reiterated that no such notification has been received by the council and highlighted the council’s dedication to upholding judicial decisions.
