Hilla: The Heritage Unit of the Babylon Antiquities and Heritage Inspectorate recently conducted an inspection tour to assess the condition of heritage buildings in the city of Hilla, particularly focusing on the Al-Mahdiya neighborhood. Directed by the Head of the General Authority for Antiquities and Heritage, Ali Obeid Shalgham, and overseen by Babylon Antiquities and Heritage Inspector Adel Kadhim Amin, the tour aimed to evaluate and preserve the historical and architectural value of these structures.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the inspection was part of a broader effort to ensure the protection and maintenance of heritage sites in Hilla. The Babylon Antiquities and Heritage Inspectorate emphasized its commitment to ongoing field tours, which are essential for monitoring the condition of heritage buildings and implementing necessary protection measures to preserve the rich cultural heritage of the city.
