Hillah: A force from the Al-Hamza Al-Gharbi District Crime Control Division in the Babylon Governorate Police Command has successfully apprehended a thief responsible for committing fifteen house robberies in the district.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Babylon Police Media Director Brigadier General Adel Al-Husseini stated that the arrest was made under the supervision of the Director of the Al-Hamza Al-Gharbi Crime Control Division. The suspect targeted homes in the Al-Hamza Al-Gharbi district, south of Hillah.
The accused took advantage of the residents’ absence during nighttime to carry out the thefts and used a bicycle to move between areas, complicating efforts to track him. After gathering information and analyzing surveillance footage to confirm his identity, authorities set up a coordinated ambush with the judicial authority. This operation led to the suspect’s arrest, during which a bag containing the clothes used in the thefts was recovered.
