Baghdad: Baghdad Operations Command forces arrested a gang specializing in forgery, theft, and drug trafficking east of the capital.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command issued a press release detailing the operation. A force from the 5th Federal Police Division, alongside intelligence detachments and the Rusafa SWAT Regiment, successfully apprehended a gang of four individuals in the Al-Ammari area. This group had been involved in forgery, theft, and drug trafficking activities.

The operation was initiated following the receipt of intelligence regarding the suspects’ presence in the area of responsibility. A specialized team was quickly assembled and dispatched to the location. The team surrounded the area, executing a targeted operation that led to the arrest of all four individuals. Items seized during the operation included drug paraphernalia, a quantity of narcotics, license plates, forged documents, and receipts. The suspects were subsequently taken into custody to undergo the necessary legal procedures.
