Baghdad Operations Command Forces Arrest Suspects in Theft and Electronic Blackmail Cases


Baghdad: Baghdad Operations Command forces arrested a number of suspects, including three “theft” suspects and others in cases of (electronic blackmail, quarrels, and possession of unlicensed weapons).



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the arrests were carried out by the formations of the 17th and 1st Infantry Divisions of the Federal Police and the Maghawir Brigade, with the support of intelligence agencies and services. The operation resulted in the apprehension of several suspects in accordance with various legal articles. Among those detained were three individuals caught in the act of stealing two Stouta motorcycles. Additional suspects were arrested for their involvement in electronic blackmail, engaging in quarrels, and possessing unlicensed weapons.



The operation also led to the seizure of a number of weapons and ammunition. These actions took place across multiple areas, including Nahrawan, Al-Shama’iya, Al-Baladiyat, Al-Mu’askar, Al-Khazaliya, Al-Ta’mim, Al-Zafaraniya, Al-Bu Thila, Al-Wardiya, Al-Mahmoudiya, and Al-Yusufiya, covering both sides of Karkh and Rusafa.
